COMMENTARY
+ it is my opinion that the best thing we do in life is to have and raise children; 2nd best is to see them grow into superb beings of whom we are proud --- which I am this week, spending time in Mexico at my daughter Carla`s wedding
+ U.S, Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke’s move to increase the US money supply by $600 billion is receiving mixed reviews – a short term, and very expensive, way to bring down the value of the U.S. dollar, to improve trade and deficit imbalances. It seems the world, including most especially the Chinese, are not convinced their currency is as far out of whack as everyone else in the G20 and, it seems the world doesn’t yet feel convinced the U.S. economy is sufficiently mended for anyone to stop holding their breath.Stay tuned …. or keep holding your breath.
+ Mayor Naheed Nenshi is leading his council through a $65 million budget cut process that will, if successful, leave Calgarians with a 6% tax increase in 2011 ….. seems a little pain spread on everyone is safe politics when the next election is 3 years away
