+ Cyprus banks remain closed to avoid run on deposits; seem to have staved off failure and major EU catastrophe with a bail-in (not a bail-out) by forcing large depositors to rescue them . . . tic/toc for other EU countries/banks on the brink looking at new solutions to avoid banking system collapse
