+ it is hard to read Ed Stelmach – running hard to distance himself from the insurgent Wild Rose folks on several fronts (health care, land use, property rights, delay of the spring sitting of the legislature) with the threat to Ted Morton breathing down his neck, an ambitious successor maneuvering to go head-to-head against Danielle Smith; if he wins, he’s the Tory hero, if he loses he goes back to teaching at the U of C.  Either way, Premier Ed has a 2011 general election on his agenda if he wants to keep wearing the 3-piece suits
