+ University of Saskatchewan is, again, floating an RFP call for a hotel/commercial development on its NE campus precinct ….. which is interesting because Saskatoon is the flavour of the week, but … with 5 hotels under development in Saskatoon, one has to wonder if the market can support a 6th


+ Calgary city council approved $245 million downtown central library to be build in the East Village area redevelopment; architect to be selected by September, naming rights to me marketed


+ Mayor Nenshi continues his dust-up with the development community, bouncing Canadian Home Builders Association rep. from city committees because he didn’t like comments CHBA Pres. made in a speech admonishing the planning department – and, by inference, Rollin Stanley’s mixed messages to the industry. Nenshi demanded an apology.  Council seems to feel differently – stay tuned . . .
