+ the Government of Alberta hired AMEC and AECOM for assessment of flood impacts and feasibility of proposed flood reduction projects in southern Alberta watersheds impacted by this summer’s flooding ; early plans point to $830 million in capital costs to put upstream modifications and diversion tunnels in place. Premier Redford’s response supportive but waffling … obviously, because of the huge cost and current challenge paying for $6 billion in flood damage
