+ Berkshire Hathaway Inc. agreed to acquire $400.0 million (38.39%) equity stake in Home Capital Group Inc.

+ Calgary City Council approved $4.65 billion/46 km Green Line LRT project; will run from 160th Avenue in the north to Seton (South Health Campus) in the south; Trudeau government has pledged $1.15 billion as its share but so far the Notley government has not stepped up – though a commitment is expected to follow the city’s approval of the project; construction planned to start in 2019, to be completed in 2026 ~ just in time for the Olympics …
