+ Aecon Group Inc. awarded $123 million contract by Fort Hills Energy L.P. for mine site development at Fort Hills oil sands project
+ Alberta Securities Commission alleged fraud/issued a hearing notice: Neil Chandran and Energy TV Inc., $56 million in illegal trades and distributions
+ AltaGas Ltd. signed a Letter of Intent with B.C. government to distribute LNG in the province, beginning with a first phase in Dawson Creek

+ KPMG issued their 2014 Tax - Competitive Alternatives Report; shows Canada as #1 country
+ McCoy Corporation sold its Mobile Solutions business unit (Peerless) for $14.75 million to Manac Inc.
+ Oando Energy Resources Inc. got approval from the Nigerian government for its $1.65 billion takeover of ConocoPhillips Nigerian oil & gas business
+ Royal Dutch Shell plc sold most of its interest in Woodside Petroleum; selling 19% for US$5 billion
+ Royal Dutch Shell plc signed global strategic alliance agreement with China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC)
+ SNC-Lavalin agreed to acquired Kentz Corporation Limited for $2.1 billion
+ WesPac Midstream applied to the National Energy Board for an LNG export license (18th application so far, 4 of which have been approved by the NEB)

+ Government of Alberta waffling on its commitment to news schools; Minister Drysdale says 19-school package (8 to be in Calgary) won’t be P3, won’t be built as earlier committed. Premier Hancock said … not so fast, but we will build them … meanwhile the PC leadership race seems to have the government with its feet indecisively in the muck .. tic toc 
 
+ Calgary’s Ring Road completion is still 2 years away; routes for SW and West legs released, public consultation meetings planned for fall/2014, construction to start in 2016, for completion by 2020
 
+ City of Calgary planning for ring-road connection to the new airport tunnel; $80 million project being considered for completion by 2016 – but funding sources unclear
