+ Crosslinx Transit Solutions (SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and EllisDon and their consortium members) announced that financing has been arranged for the Eglinton Crosstown Transit P3 project (design, build, finance and maintain) in Toronto – a multi year project estimated to cost $5.3 billion to build




 CLIMATE CHANGE / LEED / RENEWABLE ENERGY  

+ PowerStream acquired a portfolio of 2.575 megawatts of solar power projects from JCM Capital; terms not disclosed

+ Samsung Renewable Energy Inc. – Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure – Six Nations of Grand Rivers completed a 100 megawatt ‘Grand Renewable Solar Project’

+ TransAlta Corp. agreed to acquire 71 megawatts of solar power; 21MW in Massachusetts & 50MW in Minnesota for $75.8 million from Rockland Capital LLC

+ U.S. Green Building Council reported that Canada is the top country outside the U.S. in adopting LEED standards; 4,814 certified and registered projects (China is in 2nd place at 2,022). The U.S. number is 53,908 which suggests that, on a per-capita basis, we are neck and neck …
