+ Fifty Fit/Fat Flames Fans and The Calgary Flames Foundation are doing it again; last year Flames CEO Ken King and West Canadian Digital CEO George Brookman took issue with each other’s need to lose weight; they gathered some friends of ample girth, lost a whole lot of beef … and raised $50K for the Calgary Food Bank; this year, they’re at it again. We gathered for oatmeal breakfast and our first weigh-in Feb. 1st. It appears we may need a sturdier scale. There is room for a few more hefty boys; entry fee is $500; somebody will win $5,000 (Brookman has a complicated formula but assures me it is fair – though somehow he won last year!). The balance raised goes to the food bank. Our next weigh-in and cut-off is Feb. 28th – so if you need to lose some beef, live longer and makes some new friends – sign up! Contact me kolke@markkolke.com and I’ll connect you. We can be big losers for a great cause. Sorry ladies, this is a guy thing …
