+ current energy prices – live link to current Bloomberg energy prices; crude prices off due to Houston refining capacity reduced by hurricane Harvey; stockpiles/oversupply remain significant and hot spots (Venezuala, Libya and Iran) of concern seem stable for the moment; the storm continues to dump rain on the Houston area and into Louisiana, so downward pressure on crude prices will likely continue for a while … tic toc

+ Partnerships BC are moving forward on the Abbotsford Law Courts project; three short-listed consortia will participate in an open-house session on Sept. 13 so suppliers, trades and contractors can pitch + woo potential customers in a networking session; click here to register

+ Transport Canada announced funding plans for the National Trade Corridor Fund; will be $2.0 billion over 11 yrs., of which $400.0 million is for a transportation infrastructure; details are sketchy but earlier reporting suggested this would be like a band of land/right-of-way corridor from coast to coast for pipelines, power transmission and roadways through unpopulated territory so resources can be shipped to tidewater in addition to regional transport needs --- a very ‘long term project’ our great grandchildren might benefit from if it isn’t mothballed along the way; the program lacks short-term specific goals and that will likely be its undoing …

+ West Campus Development Trust & The Brenda Strafford Foundation announced Cambridge Manor, a state-of-the-art senior living facility within Calgary's University District; 217,000 sq. ft. facility to break ground in early 2018, open in 2020
