 INFRASTRUCTURE / P3

+ Calgary’s Mayor Nenshi got lots of ink this week – two infrastructure issues; the war of words continues and tensions seem to be mounting between Tsuut’ina offices, GOA and Nenshi over the Springbank dam project should go ahead, or where. Meanwhile Nenshi is also at odds with GOA over funding for the GreenLine LRT; seems long term debt costs could be crippling and the Notley government is saying ‘the city has ways to go’, which is shorthand for ‘we aren’t helping that much, or anytime soon’ … and it’s an election year, so this kettle will keep boiling … tic toc

+ Capital Power Corporation closed its acquisition of two gas-fired (284MW) facilities in Ontario from Veresen Inc.
