INFRASTRUCTURE/P3/GREEN/LEED

+ the only local action so far on the Federal Election campaign so far is Conservative MP’s arguing about the advisability of the Airport Tunnel project – Deepak Obhrai says its foolish, Devinder Shory says he supports it but won’t support Federal government funding; it’s not very exciting, but at least they are talking about it; it’s time, I think, that another Calgary MP named Harper paid attention to the issue, and, for that matter, anything relating to Calgary . . . but it seems he takes his re-election as a sure thing, it probably is, but it’s the arrogant attitude of the guy and the PMO that’s getting hard to take

GOLF JOKE

‘Fred got home from his Sunday round of golf later than normal and very tired. "Bad day at the course?" his wife asked.   "Everything was going fine," he said. "Then Harry had a heart attack and died on the 10th tee."  "Oh, that's awful!"   "You're not kidding. For the whole back nine it was hit the ball, drag Harry, hit the ball, drag Harry."

COMMENTARY

+ a bad week for retail – Scott’s REIT is reacting to the Priszm (400 KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut stores) bankruptcy filing . . and now Sbarro;s Chapter 11 filing (1,000 locations in 42 countries) which doesn’t bode well for retail sector, retail landlords, retail suppliers, retail lenders . . .
